FAQ’s about InstaFreeze Meals Parties
What are InstaFreeze Meals Parties?
InstaFreeze Meals parties are in store classes held daily where class members can assemble 15 Instant Pot freezer meals in about 1 hour. We take care of the food prep before class, so there will be no cutting or chopping involved during the class. Class members will be spaced out at tables where they will simply measure ingredients, assemble their freezer meals, and place them inside their coolers. At the end of class, members are free to leave with their meals while we take care of the clean up! Our party menu changes monthly, so meal time can be exciting and appropriate for the current season.
How do I sign up for a class?
The dates and times for our classes are available here. Be aware that we close the class a week in advance to allow us time to purchase and prep the ingredients.
What are my options when signing up for a class?
We offer a single option (3-4 servings) or a double option (6-8 serving). Each meal you assemble in class will contain a 3-4 serving meal. If you need 6-8 servings, sign up for the double option. The double option will consist of 2 single meals that will both stack inside the Instant Pot when you are ready to cook.
What should I expect when I arrive?
Plan on arriving 5 minutes early to your class so we can start on time. When you arrive for your class, pick a station and park your cooler underneath the table. Wash your hands, put on gloves, and you are ready to get started! Each class will start with a brief introduction detailing everything you need to know about assembling your freezer meals. We will have stools for those who need one, otherwise plan on being on your feet for the class; supportive shoes are advised.
How long is an InstaFreeze Meals Class?
Classes last about 1 hour, depending on the recipes being assembled and the class size.
What do I need to bring to class?
We suggest bringing a cooler, laundry basket, or box to stack your meals in as they are assembled. Note: Meals will be assembled in round containers with lids; we no longer use zip-top bags. For this reason, a flat bottom container is better suited for transporting. If you are worried about your clothes getting dirty, plan on bringing an apron as well.
What do I do with my meals after class?
We recommend taking the meals straight home and placing them in the freezer. If you are unable to go straight home, be sure to bring ice packs to keep your food at a safe temperature until they can be placed in the freezer.
Can I bring a guest to the class?
Space is limited so we ask that those who sign up for the class not bring any guests. However, please email us if there are any extenuating circumstances and we are more than happy to work with you.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that unexpected things happen! You can receive a full refund if you cancel 7 days in advance. If something comes up at the last minute, feel free to have someone come in your place.
Can we arrange a private class for friends and family?
We would love to host you and your friends and family! Please visit our Contact page and fill out the form with your request. You will need at least 10 people to book a private class and it needs to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
Can I request substitutions while assembling my meals during class?
Please advise us of food allergies/sensitivities when signing up for your class and we will do our best to have appropriate substitutions available. During the class, however, if you don’t like an ingredient or want more of an ingredient we may or may not be able to accommodate your request.
Can I make changes to the meals during class?
Changing the recipe will alter the intended outcome of the meals, but you are free to make adjustments to the spices or ingredients going into your container if desired. For example, if you want it extra spicy, add extra cayenne pepper. If you don’t want any heat at all, omit spicy ingredients. Don’t like onions, garlic, mushrooms, etc? Feel free to omit them. However, we prepare the exact amount of vegetables needed for each class; please do not add extra to your containers. Meat products cannot be altered during the class.
What can I do if I have special medical or dietary needs?
Please contact us before signing up for class. If possible, we would love to accommodate the needs of our customers.
Do you offer gluten free meals at the classes?
Yes! Gluten free needs must be specified when signing up for a class in store or online. We will not be able to adjust recipes last minute at the class.
How many servings does each container hold?
Each container assembled during class contains 3-4 servings. If you need 6-8 serving meals for your family, be sure to choose the “Double Meals” option when you sign up. Please note, if you signed up for the single (3-4 serving) meal option, we will not be able to adjust your order to double them on the night of your class.
How do I cook my meals at home?
Specific cooking directions will be provided for both single and double meals. Basic instructions will call for popping the food from the container into the pressure cooker pot, then adding some type of cooking liquid. All meals are cooked at “high pressure”. Cooking times will be provided in the cooking instructions.
If I assembled double meals, how do I cook the meals at the same time in the Instant Pot?
Two meals can be stacked on top of each other in the Instant Pot to cook. Simply pop the first one into the pot, then place the second meal on top then add your liquid. Follow cooking directions for a double meal on the instruction card. If you decide to only cook one of them at a time, make sure to follow the cooking directions for a single meal.
